The All American Drive-In

BurgersDrive-inSince 1963Cash only
A red-and-white drive-in that has griddled the same thin, crispy-edged burger since 1963. Order at the window, eat in the car.
Long Island Today · local guide

The All American in Massapequa is a genuine roadside drive-in — walk up to the window, order a double with cheese and a chocolate shake, and eat it on the hood of your car in the parking lot. It has looked and tasted exactly the same since 1963.

The burgers are thin, smashed, and crispy at the edges; the fries are hand-cut; the shakes are thick enough to stand a straw in. It is Long Island fast food at its platonic ideal, and it is cash only.
