Syosset, Woodbury, Jericho chamber holds member BBQ

The Syosset Woodbury Jericho Chamber of Commerce dressed up its typical meeting with new surroundings at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Park.
The chamber held its first-ever member-only barbecue at the park on Friday, June 26, which served not only as a time for community bonding but as a special event for Ari Goldblatt, a member of the chamber’s board of directors and its social media manager.
Goldblatt said he grew up in Syosset and graduated from Syosset High School in 1996, and recently celebrated his 30th high school reunion. Now living in Plainview, just a town over, he said he always had an emotional connection to Syosset.
He said that when he started his business, marketing and branding company, Boomer Productions, seven years ago, he wanted to join a Chamber of Commerce to feel like a part of the local business community.
Rather than join Plainview’s Chamber of Commerce, he said he decided to join the Syosset Woodbury Jericho Chamber, which he said is now accepting members from Jericho.
Goldblatt said he hopes the event continues next year as a way to informally talk business with other entrepreneurs.
